I just like the lyrics and the song itself. It would really be so sweet of a man to sing this to his woman. (*heart-eyed*). Although the “I could not live the lie it would take To have you near would be a mistake Please don’t ask me Why I’m still in love with you. No please don’t ask me” part is a bit sad, I just can’t help admiring the man and the endless love he have.

Interesting Facts About Kissing

I browsed the net for some interesting articles to read and found this one. I was amazed with some interesting facts that we, or I, still don’t know about kissing that are revealed in the article.

If you are one of the many people who like to kiss, well here are the facts you should know:

1. An act of kissing puts 29 facial muscles in motion. In other words, kissing can be used as an effective exercise to prevent the development of wrinkles.

2. Lovers swap saliva containing various substances e.g. fats, mineral salts, proteins while kissing. According to latest studies, the exchange of the above substances can give a boost to the production of antibodies which are made specifically to deal with the antigens associated with different diseases as they are encountered.

3. As a rule, 66 percent of people keep their eyes closed while kissing. The rest take pleasure in watching the emotions run the gamut on the faces of their partners.

4. According to U.S. statistics, an American woman would kiss an average of 80 men before she gets married.

5. A quick romantic kiss will burn about 2-3 calories, whereas French kiss (an openmouthed kiss with tongue contact) will obliterate more than 5 calories.

6. Sensitivity of the lips is 200 times higher than that of the fingers.

7. It is thought that men who kiss their wives goodbye before going to work live five years longer than those who just slam the door. Men of the latter category are said to be more prone to traffic accidents.

8. Smooching passionately for 90 seconds will elevate blood pressure and cause the pulse rate to go racing. It will also increase the level of hormones in the blood, thus reducing life by one minute.

9. French kiss is called a “juncture of souls” in France. Not only the lips do the job, the tongues come into play too. The passionate French invented another variety of the soul kiss in which only the tongues are employed.

10. Contrary to a popular belief, the Eskimos do not merely rub their noses against each other in a display of love and affection. The lips open up a bit once the olfactory organs of the kissing partners meet. Then the Eskimos take a deep breath and send the air out while holding their lips closed. After savoring the scent of each other, the partners press noses against each other’s cheeks and freeze for a minute of two.

11. Kissing in public is usually frowned upon in Japan, Taiwan, China and Korea. A typical Japanese kiss seems to be designed to reproach the loose morals of the West. At best, it looks like an innocuous kind of billing and cooing Soviet teenagers would practice on their first date in the early 1970s. Two Japanese are supposed to maintain a certain distance before they dare bow their heads and kiss each other on the lips for a second.

12. The bodies of those engaged in kissing produce a substance that is 200 times more powerful than morphine in terms of narcotic effect. That is why the kissing partners can experience feelings of euphoria and bliss in the process.

13. Kissing can help women relax and ease the effects of stress.

14. On the average, a person spends 20,160 minutes (two weeks) of his life on kissing.

15. A kiss that lasts one minute can relieve your body of 26 calories.

16. Every other person on the planet has his first amorous kiss before reaching the age of 14.

English Please!

English is the official language of the world and learning it is a must in a country who uses it as the second language, like Philippines. It has been one of the subjects taught from the beginning until the end in the academe – from kinder garden to College that is. Always in the curriculum. English is everywhere.

But having said that, there are still a lot who can’t speak or write proper English – learning the language is never easy. There are a lot of things to remember, a lot of things to consider to perfect the language. There are even some English people who can’t speak or write their language properly or tend to forget how to correctly use their language and words. I, for one, cannot speak and write correct English all the time. Well, honestly I just learned it because it is necessary and never learned it by heart plus I am not a born writer (hehehe).

Thus, having a good reference is a great help so I searched the web for a good site to refresh my English knowledge and found this http://www.dailywritingtips.com website – a good reference for English needs. I found the site when I was having a hard time deciding what preposition to use. I really don’t know the author but blogged it anyway. I could have bookmarked it but I don’t really look back to my bookmarks so I decided to write a post about it so I won’t forget.

I am finally back to blog. My last post was about this blog having PR 3 but that was almost a year ago. Yeah, you read it right my last post was dated August 19, 2008. And now, when I finally decided to check this blog again I found out that its PR is down to n/a. So sad but true. I should have updated this blog religiously since then so it’s page rank won’t go down. But I didn’t and there’s no one else to blame (T_T).

But now I am back to the blogging world again. Let’s see how long it will take me to have this blog ranked higher than n/a. I hope that would be sooner though (cross fingers).

Wow, I couldn’t believe it. My last post was like 3 months ago and that was the last check I made in this blog because I decided to stick with my other blog, for some reasons that I cannot disclose here, and now this blog has PR 3.

Anyway, I am so happy with this blog’s google rank and I will try to have some post here once in a while, that is if I can blog and if my very busy schedule would allow me to write. ^_^

Who wouldn’t know her? The powerful voice! The voice that captured my heart when I first saw Alladin. Well. Lea Salonga is LEA SALONGA. The miss Saigon, the voice behind many animated fairy tales (aw tama bko, heheh), the voice, the voice and the voice!

Brad Cane was so amazing too! Hahhaha, I know it is so obvious I am fascinated with their voices. They can sing really very well.

Testing My IQ!

I bumped into a site that has an IQ test as I searched for possible questions that I could use for my online examination project. I was of course tempted to take the short quiz, human as I am. Though I was a bit busy with my tasks, I decided to give in to my mind’s desire for the moment. Anyway, I don’t think I will be able to focus on my work if I have this overpowering curiosity inside and if I keep hearing the voices saying “give it a try, common, just give it a try” (lol). There were only ten questions though, each of which was tricky, and the good thing was the answers were provided. Knowing that I could somehow “cheat”, I had to fight the urge to peep and have a glimpse of the answer otherwise, I know, I will not be able to enjoy the challenge and I will be a cheater. Well, it was not my first time to take such challenge but I enjoyed it anyway.

So for you, I know you are already curious too (^_^) here’s the test.

A little intelligence test for you – no cheating. Some of these questions are from an MBA entrance test. There are 10 questions. Do not look at the answers found at the end of this document, that would be cheating. Write each of your answers down, it makes a difference. Good Luck!

Did you see this? Were you attentively viewing this pageant? I didn’t mean anything bad in posting this video and I didn’t mean to criticize Janina San Miguel here with her answer. I find her strikingly pretty and smart-looking (when she is not talking) LOL. I guess she was just so nervous and tense during the contest.
